These customers invited Old Port Roofing to assist with the renovation of this beautiful old bungalow. The original roof consisted of Old Steel shingle tiles on batterns that sat on top of old rusted corrugated iron. All of the old materials were removed in stages as we replaced the entire roof with new .42BMT (Base Metal Thickness) Corrugated Colorbond Custom Orb Roofing in Woodland Grey, supplied by Fielders. At no time was the roof exposed to the elements of weather that could potentially be of concern to the home.
With the expertise of our qualified carpenter, the team also replaced existing rotted barge boards, and then Colorbond Woodland Grey gutters in the OG Profile. All flashings, square tail barge caps and rolltop ridge cappings were also installed in .55BMT Colorbond Woodland Grey Colour. Once the team were finished at the front and roof, the customers arranged for their painter to come in and paint all the new barge boards that we had installed. The result is this magnificent transformation of this beautiful old home…from the front.
The customers then asked us to assist with the area out the back of the home. The rear flat roof attached to the back end of the house required re- pitching and heightening to alleviate water ingress problems the customers were experiencing. The material we used for this section was .42BMT zincalume KingKlip roofing to rear flat section.
Old Port Roofing obtained quotes from Fielders for 2 x new Colorbond Centenary verandas. These verandas can be custom designed and require specific engineering for weight bearing and structural requirements for the Old Port Roofing team to follow. Both Centenary verandas were designed to fit the customer’s outdoor area requirements and the structure established to design. All of this received council approval which Old Port Roofing organised and completed on behalf of our client. Our electrician wired up all the entertaining areas including lights and fans. Old Port Roofing were then able to recommend concreters and concrete polishing. The result for the customers is a fantastic back yard with useful impressive entertaining areas.
