Bute Terraces

Project Overview

We were engaged by the strata group to provide a quote for the complete re-roofing of the apartment complex. The existing roof was in very poor condition and had reached the end of its serviceable life, making replacement necessary.

Project Insight

The existing roof system consisted of two layers: the original roof and a secondary steel tile roof installed over the top. Due to the height and scale of the project, full perimeter scaffolding was required to ensure safe access and provide a secure working environment for all staff while undertaking works on the roof.

COLORBOND® Manor Red deep corrugated roofing was selected for the new roof to maintain the building’s heritage character. A 55 mm insulation blanket was also installed beneath the entire roof area, improving the building’s thermal performance.

The front veranda was restored to its original concave profile using new COLORBOND® Manor Red 0.6 BMT Blue Orb roofing materials, helping preserve the architectural appearance of the complex while delivering a durable new roof system.
