As a fully trained and preferred installer of Insulated Panel, Old Port Roofing was recommended to this customer from Kingspan Insulated Panels Pty Ltd. The customer had architectural plans that were sent through to us electronically for us to quote.
The new architecturally designed home was built nestled in the foothills of Adelaide’s Eastern suburbs. Old Port Roofing was engaged to do wall and roof cladding.
The roof installedwas the Kingspan Insulated Panel KS1000RW 100mm in the Colour Dune. This insulated panel is just as it sounds and includes the steel on the outer sides with insulation and weather membrane all in the one panel. This provides the energy efficiency and weather resistance and is aesthetically pleasing with a Trapezoidal profile on the top. The underside is a flat profile in varying colours. It is also manufactured as a firesafe product and therefore passing standards required in bushfire prone areas. This particular panel (KS1000RW) is 1m wide and 100mm thick and is screw fixed to the roof.
We then proceeded to install insulated panel as the wall cladding with Kingspan 80mm thick in the colours Wallaby and Dune in a different profile to the roof. Having these panels on the walls creates further insulation for the home becoming energy efficient whilst providing a stylish finish.
This home, being environmentally friendly, is not only insulated with a fireproof panel, but also captures maximum rainfall with Revolution Roofing’s “RevBig” gutter, as you can see from the photos taken. These gutters are directed into rainwater storages on site. This RevBig gutter brags that it has the largest water carrying capacity in South Australia. They are available in Colourbond Steel, Galvanised or Stainless Steel to match up to any building colour scheme.
Finally we installed Aluminium 4mm aperture gutter mesh to fit over the RevBig gutter to alleviate all the leaf debris often found in the gutters of foothill properties. We obtain our gutter mesh from “Top Idea” and can also be purchased in colourbond colours or zincalume to match colour schemes.
The end product is this fantastic display of a modern home that is environmentally friendly whilst being safe and efficient.
